R2 830 was taken off my FNB debt card on Tuesday 26 April 2022. I have not made any bookings with them. I have not received any confirmation emails from them. When going into their website. They say my email address wrong. And can''t reply to any other requests

Hi, PayBridge is an online payment gateway owned by NightsBridge. NightsBridge works with guest houses and B&Bs in South Africa to help managing their bookings and payments online.

The reference ‘paybridge accommodation’ will show on your statement if your card has been used to book accommodation online at a property (guest house, bed & breakfast…etc) that uses the NightsBridge payment gateway PayBridge to process online payments. In my case it was a legitimate payment, I just wasn’t aware that it would show up with that reference. I contacted the guest house and they also confirmed it. I was able to find out more here: https://site.nightsbridge.com/features/payment-systems/

I was using booking.com to reserve rooms in South Africa when Paybridge Accomodation popped up on my credit card. Before long, I had several of these. Even though the option on Booking.com said "No Pre-payment" or "Free-Cancellation", it didn't matter. I still got dinged. I tried canceling, but the money wasn't refunded as of yet. It appears that I might eat the costs. And worse, I can't seem to link the charges to which hotel submitted it. How do we know which hotel did what and how much? What would prevent them from charging you twice? After e-mailing a dozen hotels, they seem to put the blame on booking.com. The hotels think that there is a connection between Paybridge Accomodation, Nightbridge, and booking.com. Yes, this is gangster territory. VERY SUSPICIOUS.

In my card statement for the Lufthansa Mies & More card from 07/28/2023 contains an item that I cannot allocate. It relates to an amount of ZAR 4,394.50. Can you help me to clarify the amount? Which hotel does it concern? Thank you Christine Unger-Schedler

I had a booking with free cancellation on booking.com The amount of R2960 was taken from my credit card on 16/5/2023. I cancelled in June but am battling to get a refund. I have contacted the guest house but they say the money is held by Booking.com. I then contacted Booking.com and they say that my bank statement should either show Booking.com or the name of the guest house not Paybridge. It seems like I am going to lose my money. This reflects badly on Booking.com and will discourage me from using them again.

avoid making reservations for South Africa on booking.com !!! Paybridge will CHARGE ON THE Day you make reservation in spite of website saying it will be a day before arrival. Even worse, when you cancel on free cancellation bookings on booking.com THEY NEVER refund the money until you go through you bank and dispute the charge, so basically 2-3 hours of work to try to get your money back which usually takes 2-3 months! so basically they get your money and "use" your money for interest on bank and they don't refund until bank gets money back from them. In the meantime they have used hundreds of thousands of dollars from customers! what a scam! Booking.com is not doing anything about it!
