I just found a charge of $89.99 on my charge card, with a description as a :"CPN*The New Yorker. I called my credit card company. Aside from his having almost unintelligible English, I managed to grasp that the people who could answer this have all gone home. "but it will all be fixed." I plan to call the number found online--800-825-2510. But what on earth is this about? Nearly $90 of my money has disappeared and so far so one can explain why. What is going on here? What does The New Yorker have to do with it? I have not subscribed to any magazine. i hate having to go through what I know i will--no truthful answers, no intelligible answers, no action, just another rip off. Grrr!
absolutely not--I have no idea where this charge is coming from, nor for what service or product. Since I have not ordered/purchased anything such thing with this card. I can only assume it's yet another scam that I will have to run down dozens of rabbit holes searching for will probably be, in the end, a scam that has no solution to.
It's for a subscription to The New Yorker Magazine.
It is for New Yorker Magazine. Call 1-800-825-2510 and they will reverse the charge. Its funny how quickly they do it and try to hang up ASAP without any other questions asked. Tells me that they know its fishy...
$99.99 charged 10-27-16. Contacted credit services. Shut down card immediately after reversing charge.
I was charged an unauthorized $99 on 4/20/17, called customer service and spoke to representative for all of 5 seconds. They are extremely fast to remove it, no questions, arguments, nothing. Call 1-800-825-2510
It's an automatic renewal of a free trial offer .. I had to be on hold for about 10 minutes, but they quickly reversed the charge.
First paid them $5 for The New Yorker subscription. Signed into New Yorker Customer Service website to disable auto-renewal. Three months later I am charged a whopping $99 dollars for a re-renewal. 03/24/17 HMD* The New Yorker 5.00 06/22/17 CNP*THE NEW YORKER 99.99
First call person was polite and said they would cancel and informed me that I had account since 2016. I had never received a magazine! Second, time I called very rude person told me maybe your card has been hacked. Still, have not seen any refund. I am very upset with this company.
