In March 2019 I got a receipt for $13.90 for goods I bought at the 7/24 convenience store in 170 Sus!$# St Sydney. Later I checked it against the (Suncorp) bank slip which showed the $13.90 plus "surcharge" amount of $0.21 making the total taken from the bank $14.11. I don't think this is a legitimate charge or shouldn't it also show on the cash register receipt? How do I find out what it is? Is this something Suncorp charges? If every person that shops at this inner city convenience store (which already charges over inflated prices due to their location and late hours) also pays this "surcharge" then either the 24/7 business or Suncorp is making a nice little bit on top of regular charges. And as a business person claiming these amountd back from my employer they expect a legitimate tax receipt for all expenses I'm claiming. I'm about to submit this in sure they'll want to know what this surcharge is.
