NZ Red Cross - mine was also a donation - would be better if "NZ Red Cross" appeared on payers' bank statements rather than the over-abbreviated "Nzrc" !

NZRC NZ took $6.64 fraudulently out of my business account. This was then followed up by various other attempts at making fraufulent transactions which my bank fortunately stopped.
Taken $336 from my credit card it’s a scam

I paid $50 to Red Cross after following a link on Stuff. I got a receipt for my donation but it had no dollar amount on it. I understand nzrc is the Red Cross and I thought the link on Stuff would be legit. Will mot be making further donations 😥 if I can't trust they haven't been hacked.

POS NZRC Online Shop turned up on my bank statmenet - was suspicious for a start, but then realised it was NZ Red Cross first aid course I paid for online

There is a suspicious element in that presentation to take advantage of people's willingness to donate to the Red Cross for resent disasters. No further donations from us with that address.
I'm hoping this was a donation to Red Cross for the Flood Relief Fund!
Also hope it was a $200 donation to Red Criss fur flood victims!

Made a donation to Flood relief on Feb 17 but it came out of my husband’s credit card not mine ! No receipt or acknowledgement received.
I donated $1000 from our trust to RC for recent disaster. this now appears on my statement as NZRC online acct!!!!!! Is this a scam n has it not gone to RC?????, 😢🫢
I also made an online donation to the Red Cross disaster fund. I received a tax receipt by email the same day with the amount donated shown clearly, which is exactly what you would expect. However like many on this site I did not recognise the transaction when my credit card statement came through a month later. I had forgotten about my donation, and the description 'NZRC Online Shop' didn't jog my memory at all. I eventually checked my email again and re-read the receipt which reconfirmed that the payment was legitimate.
Same as above - donated to the Red Cross fund after the cyclone, and am doing my GST tax return today and saw 'NZRC Online Shop' and had to look up what it was. This charge is legit in my case.
