I also had an unauthorized charge December 2015 with description "SIM Automobile 800-829-2886 PA." To the best of my knowledge, this must be a scam. My creditcard company still in process of resolving.
Had the same vendor charge me $29 in September, 2016.
Have no clue! Says it is a recurring charge of $20.00. Have not been able to talk with anyone.
SCAM! Charged me 24.97. Called them and the tried to sell me Life Alert Services. Said the number had changed and to call 800 555 1212. Which is AT&T directory services. Ugg.
Charged my card $30. Called and lodged a dispute with Card. Called SIm 800 # and got an endless series of "offers". SCAM!!
This IS an auto-renewal to Automobile Magazine. Verified with Automobile. Problem is, I don't remember setting that up when I subscribed. Must have been in the fine print. A lot of 'services' automatically renew or keep going (with recurring charges) these days (Satellite radio comes to mind). Pay Attention! And yes, the # on the credit card bill is gives an endless stream of offers. Call the Automobile subscription number (in the magazine) to verify.
It looked fishy, but it was an automatic renewal of my magazine subscription to Automobile Magazine. Apparently the fine print contained an auto renewal I was not aware of. To end this automatic renewal service, you need to call the company they contracted with to do subscriptions, Circsource.com. Their number is 877-388-7761.
