My checking account was charged at least six times today, 5/9/16 by Aliexpress dover de. The first charge was for $.01 which purportedly were POS transactions using my debit card. Thankfully, my back sends me notification every time a transaction is debited to my account and I was able to notify my bank immediately and the transactions are now being investigated.
My account was charged 0.01 then charged about 20 dollars 3 times and then once for 8.91, i downloaded the app but never even created an account, i dont know how they got a hold of my debit card information, i never purchased on this app and never put any credentials in, my only guess is they somehow charged me through my apple pay which is connected to my checkings account. this is very scary because this means they are not accidental charges, someone is hacking iphones who have the app downloaded and somehow got a hold of my debit card. thankfully my bank was able to help me and acredited me the money and are currently investigating the charge
Like many companies, all the major ones are incorporated in De. because of the great state tax benefits. They are required to maintain an office in the state. So their American office headquarters is located at 160 Greentree Drive Dover, DE 19904 which handles all of the business transactions in the USA through (by computer) for the USA. Then state of Delaware knows the revenue from sales in the United States for business taxes.
I was also confused and that's why I ended up here. I figured out that this is Alibaba, the Chinese version of Amazon/eBay. I had ordered some items through them and the charge was legitimate.
